The Idea... Zach's idea for a sanctuary comes from the growing need to give disabled and elderly pets a "Fur-ever" home. Some place they can stay for the remainder of their days, to receive the care and love they deserve. The Need... With the economy as it is, people can't afford to feed and care for themselves much less their pets. Rescues are overwhelmed with adoptable animals. Leaving little room for those with special needs or the older (less desirable) pets. Animal services are finding pets left in nice neighborhoods because people think that is better than leaving them at the pound. While CFAP feels they are making a difference with the Pantry, the need for service continues to grow. The Goal... The goal of CFAP is to build a green, environmentally friendly pet sanctuary. This building would also have the pantry, a veterinarian (both for sanctuary residence and the pubic at reduced rates), a therapy pool for the animals, large green areas to play, CFAP offices, training rooms, grooming area, kitchen (for volunteers and animals), a dog and cat wing, each with their own living rooms. Zach wants the animals to have a home. Not some cold cage. Of course if someone wants to adopt a special needs pet we would consider it, but that is not our goal. Our goal is to provide these animals with the love, care, understanding, and compassion they deserve. We need your help... Zach's Sanctuary is a very expensive and a massive under taken. We don't mind that, but we could use some help to get it done quicker! We do not want to have a mortgage. We need everything donated in order to accomplish that. So below is our "start list."
